Prof. Osman Abdelkarim obtained his PhD in high resolution molecular spectroscopy from the University of Sussex, England, and worked for the Late Sir H.W.Kroto. He taught physical chemistry at the Faculty of Science, University of Khartoum, Sudan; where he served also as Head of Chemistry Department and Dean of Faculty of Science. He then joined King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia,to teach quantum chemistry and to do research focusing on computational catalysis. He works as an Editorial Consultant at King Abdulaziz University, Scientific Publishing center.
Arjan Korpa received PhD with distinction from the University of Siegen, Germany on 2005. From 2011 to present he was working as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Tirana, Albania. He was doing research and development on innovative materials based on waste and industrial by-products. Recently he was doing research on new catalysts based on synthetic zeolites obtained from industrial by-products. From 2008 – 2011 he served as Head of R&D of the Environmental Building Materials group, Beirut, Lebanon. From 2007 – 2008 he worked for the Swiss Institute for Technical Research and Consulting, Wildegg, Switzerland on Product development and Consulting.
Mohabattul Z Bukhari is a Professor of Materials Engineering from Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). Presently, he is the Directorof The Industry Centre of Excellence (ICoE) (Healthcare Cluster), The Ministry of Education Malaysia (MoE).
Preceding his term at MoE, he was acting for the post of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & Internationalization), Dean and Deputy Dean of Academic & Internationalization of UniMAP.
He has 25 years working experiences, in which 10 years in industry and 15 years as an academic. Won numerous awards and he is one of the recipients of the Top 100 Leaders in Education to be conferred in December 2019 at Dubai UAE.
Dr. Saif Ali Chaudhry was born in District Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, India, and currently is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Jamia Millia Islamia (a central university), New Delhi, India. He completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. Chemistry from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab, India. He received Ph.D. in chemistry from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He teaches Inorganic Chemistry to B.Sc. and M.Sc. classes and his area of research includes Application of Nanotechnology in water treatment. At present Seven Ph.D. are doing research under his supervision. He has published more than 30 research papers in highly reputed international journals having impact factor more than 6 and edited one book on nanocomposites for water treatment and several book chapters in Elsevier, Springer, Wiley and CRC publications and have presented his work in more than 20 national and international conferences.
Dr. Sudip Kumar Das is currently Professor and Head in the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Calcutta. He has completed his Ph.D. and M. Tech. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and graduated from the University of Calcutta in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry Hons. He is also actively engaged in research related to different fields of Chemical Engineering, like single and multiphase (gas-liquid) flow through pipelines and piping components, multiphase flow through coils, fluidization and inverse fluidization, reaction engineering, wastewater treatment technology, heavy metals and organic pollutants removal from wastewater, Process Plant Safety, Computational fluid dynamics, artificial neural networks and machinable glass-ceramics. He has published 1 book, 9 chapters, 190 papers in National and International journals and presented a large number of invited lectures in the Conferences. He has been a reviewer for more than 135 National and International journals.
Dr. Md Abdus Subhan received his PhD from Osaka University, with Japanes
Government Monbusho Scholarship (Recommended by Bangladesh
Government). Currently he is a Professor at Shah Jalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh. He held several postdoctoral positions in different countries including VBL (venture business laboratory) fellowship in Materials and Life Science, Faculty of Engineering, Osaka University, Japan; BK 21 postdoc fellowship in Seoul National University and NRF (National Research Foundation, South Korea) postdoc fellowship Andong National University, South Korea; and Fulbright Visiting Scholar fellowship in Northeastern University, Boston, MA, USA. His current research field is nanomaterials, nanomedicine and drug delivery. He has a great contribution in sensor, catalytic, optical and drug delivery research using nanomaterials, which is reflected in his published papers in recent years. He has published 66 papers with many appearing in the high-impact journals. He has strong track record (h-index 15, i10 index 28). Dr. Subhan has received several national and international prestigious Awards and Grants: TWAS research award; Ministry of Science & Technology (MOST) and Ministry of Education (MOE), BD grant awards; Excellent Article Award, Chinese Society of Metals; United Group best paper awards; Vice-Chancellor award (SUST); UGC (University Grants Commission) Gold Medal award, BD; and Fulbright Visiting Scholar award, USA. Dr. Subhan recently actively participated in Longwood Seminar series 2019, Harvard Medical School, Harvard, Boston, MA, USA; Fulbright Visiting Scholar Enrichment Seminar, Combating Addiction, Lexington, University of Kentucky, USA, March 20-23, 2019 and
Smart Drug Development and Design, Symposium and Workshop by Catalent Pharmaceuticals, Northeastern University, Eagan Research Center, Boston, MA, USA, March 12, 2019 for clinical related experience. Dr. Subhan was an invited speaker of the Fulbright Outreach Lecture, Percy Julian Seminar Series, Coppin State University, Baltimore, Maryland, USA, April 19, 2019, He is a regular reviewer of several high impact journals of Royal Society of Chemistry and Elsevier Science, publications.
Dr. Zainul A. Siddique has been engaged actively in teaching and research since 1995. Having graduated from the University of Chittagong, he joined as a lecturer in the same University after a short tenure at another Science and Technology University in Bangladesh. He acquired several prestigious awards and fellowships in home and abroad during my academic career. He obtained PhD from the school of science of Osaka University, Japan in 2003 with the Government fellowship-worked on the characterization of photoluminescent compound by laser experiments and quantum chemical approach (i.e., Computational Chemistry). He had his post-doctoral research on the synthesis of MRI agent in the school of engineering of Kyoto University, Japan in 2008. He had patents for the same from Japan and USA. Few of his works were published in the American Chemical Society Journals (Inorg. Chem.) and very recently in Wiley (AOC), Springer (SNAS) Journals on drugs. He is a reviewer in many national and international Journals and he had teaching experience as an adjunct faculty has been encompassing in many international and national Universities. He has been working as an external examiner and member for examinations conducted by Cambridge International Exam Services (CIES) and public Universities. He visited many foreign Countries as an invited speaker in international conferences.
Dr. Nur U. Ahamad is a Professor of Chemistry at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) in Bangladesh.He received his BSc and MSc in Chemistry from SUST where he started his career as a lecturer in 2004. He had been in Canada from 2006 to 2012 to complete his PhD from the Department of Chemistry at Carleton University in Ottawa. His PhD thesis focused on fabrication of 2D assemblies of metal nanostructures, with optimized size, shape and composition, as a platform for plasmonic sensors. After completion of his PhD he moved back to his home country to establish his own research lab. He received several research projects funded by national funding agencies like SUST-research center, UGC, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology. As a potential young researcher, he was awarded a fellowship to attend the JSPS-HOPE Meeting with Nobel Laureates in 2016 in Japan. In the same year,he achievedFulbright Visiting Scholar Grantto work in the Department of Chemistry at Johns Hopkins University, USA. There, he worked with Professor Howard D. Fairbrotheron fabricating environmentally benign fire-retardant textiles. His active field of research involve innovation of smart textile products, modification of nanocellulose for biomedical application, and synthesis of inorganic nanostructures for environmental remediation and energy production. Dr. Ahamad is associated with several scientific organizations likeAmerican Chemical Society, Canadian Society for Chemistry, Bangladesh Chemical Society, JSPS-HOPE and Fulbright Associations. He is also a reviewer of the Journal of Plasmonics
Dr. Newaz Mohammed Bahadur is a Professor of the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Noakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh. He received hid PhD from Utsunomiya University, Japan with Japanese Government Monbukagakusho Scholarship. He held several postdoctoral positions including VBL (Venture Business Laboratory) fellowship in Nanotechnology and Materials Science, Faculty of Engineering, Utsunomiya University, Japan and Follow up program by JASSO, Japan. His current researchencompasses a number of areas spanning Physical, Inorganic, Analytical, Environmental Chemistry, Material Sciences, SurfaceSciences, Semiconducting Interfaces, Quantum Dots, etc. In all the works, He focused on the synthesis and formation mechanisms of metal, magnetic and hybrid nanoparticles with controlled size and morphology; semiconductor, organic/inorganic microcapsules, the creation of novel core-shell nanocomposites (titania-metal-silica, metal oxide-metal oxide, metal-silica, semiconductor-silica, metal-metal, etc) including their surface functionalization; nanostructured thin films; and the optical characterization of nanocomposites. He received several grants/ awards such as Ministry of Science & Technology (MOST), UGC (University Grants Commission), Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU), Bangladesh. He has more than 50 international publications in peer review high impact factor journals,and 2 book chapters. He is a potential reviewer of more than 20 peer review high impact factor journals and member of editorial board og different journals.
Hedayat Omidvar is graduated in Industrial Engineering (MSc) in 2002 and has been working in Natural Gas consumption since 1992 as an expert in Corporate Planning Dept., National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), responsible for treatment, transmission, storage and distribution of natural gas.
